Yesterday we linked to a little blog called F*ck Yeah Animals With Casts. Guess what it's about. Animals with casts? Yeah! (Sorry, we meant f*ck yeah!) Check out the squirrel in a cast pictured above if you don't believe us. So we got to ponderin', how many other strange, specialized animal blogs are out there? Turns out: fifteen. Pets Who Want To Kill Themselves is really about guilt: making you, the pet owner, feel guilty for all the times you stuffed Fluffy or King into an embarrassing tutu, sombrero, or handbag. After seeing other people dress their dog in a costume like it's Cruelty To Animals Halloween, we'll hopefully all think twice next time. And if we need more reminding, the PWWTKT book is on its way.

You know how rabbits always kinda look like they disapprove? No? You will after checking out this blog. Disapproving Rabbits also has a book out. How did we miss out on this animal blog book deal gold rush?

Cats That Look Like Hitler is not only weirdly specific, but also mildly disturbing. But only mildly-- after all, how can you be disturbed by a cute little kitty? Unless you're a mouse. Or Jewish.



11. Dude Totally Punched A Horse

More disturbing than Hitler Cats? Well, the Dude Totally Punched A Horse blog does say, "This site does not in any way condone violence or cruelty toward horses. It merely seeks to record examples of the cinematic art of punching horses in the face." And it seems to be more of a single-serving site than a blog that's constantly scouring the internet for horse-punching videos. So that's nice.

10. Upside Down Dogs

Upside Down Dogs, you're turnin' me. AGAINST THE INTERNET! But you know what they say: On their backs, all dogs look a good ten years younger.

9. Cat Ladies

So the idea behind Cat Ladies is, first, be a lady, second, have a cat, third, acquire poor Photoshop skills. We're two-thirds of the way there!

8. Space Bears

Sadly, Space Bears, a Tumblr consisting of drawings of bears in space, does not seem to be updating on a regular basis. Just wait until we finish our watercolor of Mr. Honeysnout mauling the crew of the International Space Station. That'll get 'em postin' again. (Space Bears, if you get a book deal off our space bear art, we want a piece.)

7. F*ck Yeah Sharks

Sharks and only sharks on FuckYeahSharks. Well, the occasional LOLMr.T.

6. Fail Dogs

Only dogs gettin' into mischief! From the site: "Faildogs.com is the place to see cute dogs and their adorable friends getting into all kinds of trouble." What about reprehensible dogs and their douchebag friends? They get into trouble too! Granted, non-photogenic trouble, like killing lambs and fawns, chasing children into briar thickets, crapping on our lawn. Hmmm-- you're right, Faildogs, nobody wants to see that. Sorry. You get a pass.

5. Cute Things Falling Asleep

Okay, sure, the blog Cute Things Falling Asleep also features human babies. That's right, gross human babies. So it's not all drowsy downy ducklings or fuzzy sleepy kitties. Only mostly.

4. Let's Be Friends

Let's Be Friends consists of pics of interspecial bro-ships. Animals chillin' with other animals. Dogs and cats living together. Mass hysteria. After an argument with a loved one or co-worker, it always helps to pull up this site and say, "Look! Horse and chicken love each other. What's our problem?", then hug.

Why no new content, Pictures Of People Holding Animals That Look Like Them? Are you another single-serving site? Or did you get too busy with your book deal? (We don't know if they have a book deal, but come on, that'd be par for the course.)

2. Fuck You, Penguin

FUP tells off cute pictures of animals right to their stupid adorable faces. It's also hilarious. And guess what? Book deal. But FUP deserves it, and makes us want to kill ourselves much less than other book deals that will go unmentioned. (Oh, all right: Elizabeth Edwards.)

1. Dogs Looking Like People

We have to admit, Dogs Looking Like People is our favorite, and not for the pictures of dogs looking like people, which are often just dogs sitting on couches. It's the writing. We have no idea who writes the captions for these things, but they're awesome. We've linked to them before, but the pic and caption below is one of the best things ever.

"These guys are ready for some cake and if that thing in the middle is the cake then they’re still going to be ready for some cake after the cake is gone."
